What happens to your information

Your CV holds a lot about you. We keep it out of AI training, and we are continually improving our privacy protections as new features roll out.

  • What we collect

    We collect the information you give us to help you create your CV and cover letter. Beta testers need to agree to a session recording and a short survey to help us test and improve our product.

  • Removing personal details

    Email addresses, names and contact details are removed before your information reaches an AI model.

  • Not used to train AI

    A2C doesn’t use your information to train AI. We only use AI services that don’t train on your data.

  • Deleting your applications

    You can delete any application, and the files and documents in it, from your dashboard at any time.

Our privacy notice

Our promises to you

We treat your information the way we would want ours treated. These promises sit behind everything else on this page.

  • We don’t use your information to train AI, and we only use AI services that agree not to train on it.
  • We remove your name, email address and contact details before an AI service sees your information.
  • We use the content of your application only to create your CV and cover letter.
  • You stay in control. You can delete any application at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account.
  • We are committed to handling your information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, and we are improving our protections as new features roll out.

Who we are

What this notice covers

The beta of A2C Careers Platform and this website. We’re still building A2C, and we are continually improving our privacy protections as new features roll out. When something changes, we’ll update this notice.

What we collect

When you register your interest or ask us a question, we collect your name, your email address and what you tell us. When you subscribe for updates, we collect your email address, and we keep a record of when you agreed and the wording you agreed to. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we will stop emailing you.

When you use A2C Careers Platform, we collect:

  • your account details, such as your name, email address, phone number if you give it, and sign-in details
  • your CV, the job ad and any other documents you upload
  • your answers to A2C’s questions and your chat with A2C
  • what A2C creates for you, such as research notes, your gap analysis, your CV and your cover letter
  • a log of your activity on the platform, including the AI steps A2C takes for you

In the beta, we also record your session and ask you to complete a short survey. We use these to see what works and fix what doesn’t.

AI services

A2C uses AI services to read your documents, research the company and help draft your CV and cover letter. The services we use can change as the technology changes, so this notice describes the principles we hold them to, not a list of names.

We only use services that agree not to train their AI on your information. Some may keep requests for a short time for security checks, then delete them. We are committed to not using any service that does not meet these principles.

Before your information reaches an AI service, we remove your name, email address and contact details. You can check what has been removed, and mark anything else you would rather the AI does not see.

When A2C researches the company, it also searches the web. Those searches contain only the job role, the company and any question you type.

Who else handles your information

We use other companies to deliver A2C and this website, such as hosting, email and AI services. They handle your information only to provide those services to us. Some of them are overseas, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. The companies and countries can change as our services change. If you would like to know where your information is held, ask us at privacy@a2ccareers.com.au.

Keeping and deleting your information

You can delete any application, and everything in it, from your dashboard at any time.

Your account stays open after that, so you don’t have to enter your details again when you come back. If you would like your account deleted too, ask us at privacy@a2ccareers.com.au and we will delete it.

Your rights and questions

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or make a complaint about how we have handled it. Contact us at privacy@a2ccareers.com.au or through the question form. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
